Delicacies You Can Enjoy During Office Hours

Everyone has a medium to vent out their work life frustration. Some take a trip, sing, cook or maybe just go out for a run. Amid this are people like me who calm their own self with food! Plenty of times I have craved for yummy dishes at office during stressful hours. In those times, I plan to cook a better meal for myself the next day that includes my favourite ingredients and Veeba sauces. Here are a few lunch items you can make for office:-

1.Rajma Rice – No matter in which corner of the world a North Indian shifts, Rajma rice is their “go-to” dish! Known as kidney beans, Rajma has certainly been everyone’s favourite and a stress buster!

2.Pizzas – This Italian beauty needs no fancy introductions or descriptions. The name itself is regal! Plus there are so many toppings and pizza sauces you can experiment with, and trust you’d never get bored. And if nothing else works out, a Joey’s special will do its charm!

3.Sandwiches – If you are someone who keeps his calories in check and follows strict diet regime (at least through the weekdays), then sandwiches and subs are the best for you. Take a loaf of bread and spread low fat mayo or other Subway sauces, with fresh veggies and TADA! Your job is done.

4.Pasta – Another Italian delicacy that leaves us craving for more. Be it Arabiatta, Alfredo, Pesto or mix, pasta has always delighted us. Thanks to the availability of amazingly prepared pasta sauce in India, you can cook a bowlful of penne, fusilli or spaghetti for yourself and enjoy to the core!

Veeba Pasta Sauces

5.Tacos – Mexican cuisine is certainly a blessing! Considered one of the most filling and healthiest options (only if not loaded up with cheese), tacos have become a national rage! Fill up the taco shell with beans, tomatoes, onions and binding sauces such as chipotle ranch dressing and you are good to go!

Let food recreate happy hours for you!

Breakfast dishes for busy mornings

It is humanly impossible to manage everything together in the mornings; especially during the weekdays when we are just fettered with work load and have to rush to office. Of course, we need help to run around doing the menial errands but prepping breakfast; a healthy one becomes time consuming!

Since everything is managed in a jiffy; we listed down our favorite easy breakfast recipes for everyone. Preparation times barely any and taste good. Let us take a look at the breakfast options-

Quinoa salad: Quinoa tastes really bland if eaten alone. Adding raw fruits, some fresh green lettuce can make it healthy altogether. Dabbing the vinaigrette salad dressing over it, some feta cheese and sprinkling pepper and salt for taste can fill goodness in your mouth for sure! You could try this if you are one of those health conscious souls!

Bread and bun mania: There isn’t any household that doesn’t keep bread and buns at home. Eating it every day with butter becomes monotonous. But if you toast it right until a little brown, add some sautéed fresh veggies like onions, broccoli etc and lots of cheese and sprinkle the salt and pepper for taste; the bread and buns will just taste divine all the more. On the other hand, if you have some vegetables of last night or some leftover chicken/ beef chunks, then use for the best taste and enhance the richness of your sandwich/bun. Also, don’t forget to keep the sweet chili sauce recipe ready aside and dip it in whenever you like it. Full of nutrients and different; enjoy the regular bread in various taste for some wholesome goodness!

Give a try to these recipes and enjoy your busy mornings!

5 Snacks You Can Eat While Commuting

Every day we strive hard to keep ourselves out there in the market, to save our jobs and to pay the bills. In this fast paced life, we have kept ourselves updated with every single detail on one hand, but on the other hand we have compromised on essentials. Eating breakfast is very important and yet we do not find time to sit down properly and enjoy a meal to the fullest.

To every black cloud there is a silver lining! So what is we cannot sit and eat on some days? Here are 5 items you can eat on the go –

1.Wraps or Rolls – One of the most convenient items to be consumed while travelling. Roll up a chapatti or bread with choicest fillings such as cheese, Greek feta, peri peri hummus, iceberg lettuce, chicken, low fat mayo, peppers, potatoes, onions and top it over with Thousand Island dressing India. Make it a tightly rolled wrap so that fillings do not fall out of them.

2.Bun Omlette or Bun Maska – Fry a bun in butter and cut into two halves. Spruce it up with jam, extra butter or an omelette – whatever delights your taste buds. Let the two worlds mingle into one in your mouth.

3.Calzone Pockets – Who hates Pizzas? We love eating it at any point and hour in life, but eating them while commuting is a big no. so how about trying their covered substitute? Doughy on outside, with cheesy, tangy fillings on inside, calzone is definitely your commute buddy.

4.Parathas – Because there can be no dish as filling as this one. Considered as our national breakfast, especially in the Northern states it is undoubtedly the best breakfast option. Stuff them up with potatoes, onion, cauliflower, peas or cottage cheese with pickle or chutneys smeared all over and roll them tightly.

5.Sandwiches – Yet again a simple, filling and a delightful option for the taste buds. You can make it as healthy or cheesy you want – choice is all yours. Fill up the sandwich with freshly cut veggies, salt and pepper with mint mayonnaise sauce. Recipe would be readily available on internet.
